The adult non-polarised defibrillator pads greatly simplify the rescue process for inexperienced users in stressful circumstances. The pads can be placed in either position on the chest (upper-right or lower-left), reducing confusion and saving critical time during a rescue.

The paediatric single-use adhesive defibrillator pads are for infants or children up to 8 years of age or up to 55 lbs (25 kg). If the child appears older or heavier, use Cardiac Science adult defibrillation pads. Do not delay treatment to determine the child’s exact age or weight. The pads are intended for short-term use (< 8 hours) and must be used before the expiration date listed on the package. The AED automatically reads the expiration date of the electrode pads, and notifies the user of expired pads.
